The World, Dream Bug Out Location

Bug out to a yacht after shtf.

The World, the largest privately owned yacht on the planet.

The World is the largest privately owned yacht and possibly the ultimate bug out location. Although it looks like a cruise liner, on the inside it’s a different story. The ship features 165 full sized apartments that are owned by its 130 residents.

Imagine you can afford an apartment in The World and you get one. The shtf, by means of global economic collapse. You check the ships schedule. You realize it won’t be in range for a month so you decide to bug in with your family.  Your spouse uses the radio to contact the ship and arranges a rendezvous. When it’s time, you all bug out using whatever land or air bug out vehicle you have. You make it to the agreed upon port and get on board. You turn around to look at the city you’re leaving behind. You’re just in time to see a burning skyscraper collapse in the distance. You release a sigh of relief as you and your family walk to your apartment. As The World sails away to its next rendezvous point, you walk into your apartment, kick off your shoes, drop face first into your bed and fall instantly asleep. You, your spouse and your children are safe now. And with plenty of food, water, and medicines aboard, there are no worries about how your family will survive the next 12 months. After all, you aren’t just relying on the ships’ stockpile; as a prepper you’ve kept your own pantry filled at all times.

So what happens when the stockpiles run out?  By then you’ve sailed to some country that wasn’t hit so hard, or to one of the other residents’ private island. Video runtime 2:30.
