We’ve touched on a number of vehicles in the past, from military mountain bikes to flying cars. But instead of a flying car let’s look at a driving plane today. Or a roadable airplane as they’re called nowadays.
The makers of the AeroMobil 3.0 decided to do things a little differently than their competitors and rather than build a car that flies they made an airplane that drives. And it looks good!
Sure you won’t get a covert bug out with an Aeromobil because, just look at it, it’s gorgeous. Even during shtf people will stop and stare for a moment. But if you can get to a long strip of road and take off, you’ll be okay. Of course with a take-off speed of 130kph (90mph) it will need to be a fairly long strip of road.
Some specs:
 Occupants: 2
 Max road speed: +160kph (+100mph)
Max air speed: +200kph (+124 mph)
 Take-off speed: 130kph (90mph)
 Range: 875 km (540 miles)
 Flight range: 700km (430 miles)
The official video for the AeroMobil 3.0 is wonderful (3:52).
Pros:
Converts from airplane to car with the push of a button.
 Looks amazing.
Cons:
 Looks too amazing.
High take-off speed (e.g. compared to a Skyrunner).
 Not EMP proof.
Price: “same as a small plane”, aka unknown.
